What Is It? MaxFactor Glossfinity in 70 Cute Coral is a bright orange nail polish, toned down only by the slightest hint of white added to the mix.

Why Did I Buy It? I had a good sort out of my nail polish selection and realized half of them I don’t wear anymore and the other reason is that I had plenty of reds and pinks but no oranges.

Where Did I Buy It? Superdrug

How Much Is It? £5.99

Overall Opinion: This nail polish is exactly what it says, cute! Lovely colour that isn’t too pastel yet soft enough to wear for the spring/summer season. I’ve got MaxFactor Glossfinity in 140 Cobalt Blue which lasts me about a week with adding one additional coat, so I have every faith that 70 Cute Coral will last just as long.

What Is It? Bourjois Cream Blush in 03 Rose Tender is from a newly released collection of blushers, featuring two shades of pink (this one and 04 Sweet Cherry) and two shades of peach (01 Nude Velvet and 02 Healthy Glow).

Why Did I Buy It? This was purchased as I wanted a blusher that was soft pink for everyday wear, and also one that can easily fit in my handbag.

Where Did I Buy It? Superdrug (UK)

How Much Is It? £7.99

Overall Opinion: This blusher has an easy application, just using your fingertips and it effortlessly blends in to the skin. Not great, not bad but I consider this a staple product to have.

Dead Sea Spa Magik Mud Mask

What Is It? Dead Sea Spa Magik Mud Mask is an organic deep cleansing face mask that originates in the Dead Sea.

Why Did I Buy It? I was looking for a replacement for my Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask by The Body Shop as it had dried out. I ended up selecting this because of the reviews.

Where Did I Buy It? feelunique.com

How Much Is It? £7.70

Overall Opinion: Everyone needs to own this face mask! First of all the darkness of this in comparison to the Ionic Seaweed Clay mask is shocking. You can definitely tell the ingredients are more plentiful and concentrated, once applied for about 10 minutes and washed off with warm water the results are instant. My pores have shrunk and my skin feel so soft. I’ve just reached the end of my second tube, and have two reserves.

MaxFactor False Lash Effect Mascara (Waterproof)

What Is It? MaxFactor False Lash Effect Mascara (Waterproof) is what can only be described as the humble mascara.

Why Did I Buy It? I didn’t actually buy this mascara, it was a free gift alongside some other MaxFactor products when so much was spent.

Where Did I Buy It? Boots (UK)

How Much Is It? £6.99

Overall Opinion: With mascaras I find it doesn’t make any difference what brand I buy, they all thicken my lashes and make them darker. Why this is my mascara of choice is based on it’s longevity, I never worry about what will happen during the day as it always stays in place.

Aussome Volume Shampoo & Conditioner by Aussie

???????????????????????????????

What Is It? Aussome Volume Shampoo & Conditioner by Aussie is specifically for people with fine, limp hair such as myself.

Why Did I Buy It? Now I’ve always been unfussy when it comes to shampoo and conditioner, basically using what was in my bathroom. When I went to the hairdressers, this was the brand of choice and the smell instantly got me hooked.

Where Did I Buy It? Supermarket.

How Much Is It? £5.99 per 400ml bottle.

Overall Opinion: As I’ve already the said, the smell was a winner for me. The results are just the same as when I use any other shampoo and conditioner. As with all hair care companies they try and advertise their identical products multiple times to appeal to a wide consumer market, there was no way Aussome Volume by Aussie was going to give me thick, luscious hair. That being said it is still a joy to use.

Green Tea Scent Spray by Elizabeth Arden

Green TeaPhoto Credit: elizabetharden.co.uk

What Is It? Green Tea Scent Spray by Elizabeth Arden is a mid range ‘uplifting and energizing’ fragrance. With top notes: caraway, fruity rhubarb, lemon, orange zest and bergamot. Middle notes: cool minty peppermint, green tea, sweet jasmine, spicy carnation, fresh fennel and crisp celery spice. Base notes: oak moss, musk and amber.

Why Did I Buy It? I bought this fragrance a few years ago when Elizabeth Arden had first launched Green Tea, and was instantly struck over the fresh, clean scent that other brands had never really delivered.

Where Did I Buy It? Duty free in an airport (cannot remember which one!).

How Much Is It? £26 RRP, however fragrancedirect.co.uk are currently doing it for £12.

Overall Opinion: This is my go to fragrance for the summer, day or night. It’s a light, fruity, cheerful scent that can do no wrong in my eyes (or nose!). I’ve seen that they do body lotions and other variations of the original fragrance, and when my bottle runs out I’ll endeavour to get another.

O.P.I Nail Lacquer in Skull & Glossbones

What Is It? O.P.I Nail Lacquer in Skull & Glossbones is a high quality nail polish.

Why Did I Buy It? This was my first ever purchase of an O.P.I product due to the brands reputation, after looking at countless swatches I saw this colour and fell in love.

Where Did I Buy It? ASOS

How Much Is It? I think it was £13.50

Overall Opinion: When it comes to nail polish I’m not a girly girl with the peppermint greens, pastel pinks and lemon yellows. I like my colours rich and dark! That isn’t good for the spring/summer season and feel that Skull & Glossbones personally bridges the gap for me, by being relevant and pastel yet doesn’t fall into the normal summer cliché. I apply two coats and usually it lasts me a week, the bottles are a generous 15ml and I only hope I can repurchase when my bottle is empty. Could perhaps be a little cheaper.

Billy In The Tree 100% Organic Argan Oil

1000x1000

What Is It? Billy In The Tree 100% Organic Argan Oil is a plant oil produced from the kernels of the argan tree that is endemic to Morocco.

Why Did I Buy It? I was looking into buying some hair oil and came across the famous MorocconOil. I was put off due to how expensive it was (£30 for 100ml), and the fact that it was listed fifth in the ingredients used. So naturally I was intrigued about how much argan oil costs on it’s own and was very, pleasantly surprised.

Where Did I Buy It? Amazon.co.uk after reading the reviews.

How Much Is It? £9.95 for 100ml. Now lets be generous and say MorocconOil consists of 20% argan oil, it would cost the consumer £150 for the exact same quantity of argan oil!!!

Overall Opinion: This oil has many uses in beauty, as a face moisturiser, hair mask and for hair styling. When using it as a moisturiser it definitely did the job as it left my skin feeling lovely and soft, however it did leave a oily layer that needed to be washed off and as I’m prone to breakouts took no chances and stopped using it immediately. I have yet to use it as a hair treatment, however I have found it’s purpose in my morning regime. It is amazing at smoothing down my naturally wavy hair, just three drops of this oil using the pipette provided, rub it all over the palms of my hands and lightly work it in! No frizz and no grease!

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Range in Pink Grapefruit

What Is It? Neutrogena Visibly Clear Range in Pink Grapefruit consists of a daily scrub, face wash, cream wash (I have not tried) and a moisturiser.

Why Did I Buy It? I’m a big believer in keeping the skincare routine simple, with products that can be easily found and at a good price. With Neutrogena being synonymous with exceptional skincare I have always just naturally gravitated towards the brand.

Where Did I Buy It? Boots (UK), although it can be found anywhere, supermarkets, chemists, online etc

How Much Is It? Per item is normally about £4.99, but it is often on offer as 3 for 2 so I always keep a good supply.

Overall Opinion: I have tried all of the Neutrogena skincare ranges like Pore & Shine and Spot Stress Control and they are all of equal quality. What sets the Pink Grapefruit range apart from the others is the beautiful fruity fragrance. I love waking up in the morning and starting my day using the face wash, it never fails to refresh me. The daily scrub consists of fine granules that aren’t too coarse and the moisturiser is light and nourishing, terrific products that they must never discontinue!

Clinique Intense Eyeliner

What Is It? Clinique Quickliner for Eyes Intense in Ebony is an eyeliner with added smudge sponge.

Why Did I Buy It? As I developed a sensitivity to my original eyeliner, Bourjois Liner Stylo Noir and Clinique is allergy tested.

Where Did I Buy It? Boots (UK), but it can be found in a number of different retailers.

How Much Is It? £15

Overall Opinion: I absolutely love this eyeliner! Not only is it a dark, rich black, it applies perfectly, lasts me through the day and of course doesn’t aggravate my eyes. Well worth the expense!!
